Specific targets of the campaign

Here we identify a few initial targets for our action; during all the campaign, we will continue researching and targeting other products and companies.

  1. BOYCOTT CATERPILLAR!
  2. BOYCOTT ISRAELI WINES!

    1. BOYCOTT CATERPILLAR!

Since 1967, Caterpillar has been providing the Israeli Army with D9 bulldozers, which are used to destroy Palestinian homes and lands, to build highways for the exclusive use of Jewish settlers, and now, to build the wall. In April 2002, Caterpillar bulldozers were a key weapon in the devastating assault of the Israeli Army against the camp in Jenin, and again, in May 2004, in their week long assault againtst the camp in Rafah. It was also a D9 bulldozer which cushed to death activist Rachel Corrie, of International Solidarity Movement (ISM), as she was trying to prevent the demolition of a houe in Rafah. An international campaign has started against Caterpillar: let us do our part!

      For more information:

OTHER CATERPILLAR PRODUCTS: in addition to heavy machinery, there are several products which bear the Caterpillar brand name and are intended to increase the company's visibility. Some of these products are sold in Quebec. Here is a partial list... to be boycotted !

      TAKE ACTION!

    2. BOYCOTT ISRAELI WINES!

In 2005, the Israeli Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced a new initiative aiming to double the exports of Israeli wines over the following five years. Let us make sure that we do contribute to this operation, by not buying any Israeli wines. In Quebec, as of December 12th, 2005, the online catalogue of the SAQ indicated a total of 19 wines, brandies, etc. originating from Israel. Of this number, we even find three wines produced by Golan Heights Winery and coming fron the Syrian Golan, illegally occupied and annexed by Israel. (Cabernet-Sauvignon/Merlot/Cabernet Yarden Mount Hermon, Chardonnay Golan, Merlot Yarden). This is totally unacceptable!

      TAKE ACTION!
